Buck Owens Historical Restoration
This gem was one hell of a project! Like a lot of the older plastics, this headstock veneer started to crumble. I do believe the original could have been saved, if it would have been in the hands of a seasoned repairer- but, by the time this poor crumbling plastic came to me, half of it was unevenly superglued to a piece of wood veneer with the rest sealed in a plastic bag, swimming in the trapped acidic gasses of the plastic... slowly deteriorating into ashes of history. So, I had to make a new one! To get the exact look of the original, I pieced together most of the lettering and then traced it. It turned out better than I could have imagined.
